Boca Raton's hospitality market runs from oceanfront resorts and beach-club properties on A1A to business hotels around Town Center and the I-95 interchanges, plus the clubhouses, dining rooms and locker rooms of the country-club communities that operate much like hotels. J. Perry & Sons installs guest bath, corridor, lobby, restaurant and pool-deck tile for owners, asset managers, club boards and GCs, priced per key and per square foot and phased so rooms keep selling. Full scope is on our hotel and hospitality tile page; see also commercial renovation in Boca Raton.

Boca Raton hotels and clubs and what that means for tile

Oceanfront properties east of the Intracoastal take salt spray on every exterior surface. Pool decks and terraces need exterior-rated porcelain, stainless hardware in pedestal systems and a drainage check before setting, or the deck shows efflorescence and loose pavers within a season. Many of these decks sit over parking or back-of-house space, so finish work waits for any structural or waterproofing repair the engineer has flagged.

Business hotels near Town Center and Glades Road are mostly slab-on-grade or podium construction from the 1980s onward. Guest-room floors over slab often read high for moisture, and replacing carpet with plank porcelain changes impact sound in the room below; where the brand or owner requires it, an acoustic mat adds $2–$4 per sq ft.

Country-club clubhouses add a board to the approval chain. Locker rooms, dining rooms and card rooms are renovated in the summer closure, and the general manager, the board's house committee and often a designer all sign the model room. We price alternates by finish level so the committee can decide inside its budget year.

Finish-only replacement usually needs no permit; bath renovations that touch plumbing do, pulled through the City of Boca Raton Building Division by the GC. The renovation window, late spring through early fall, overlaps hurricane season, so material lands before storm windows and is stored inside.

How we do it in Boca Raton

  1. Model room. One guest room and bath built to the finish schedule and approved by owner and brand, or by the club's committee, before any floor is released. Per-key pricing locks against it.
  2. Phasing plan. Floors or wings come out of inventory in blocks sized to our crew and the revenue plan, each with demo, release and punch dates.
  3. Protection and routing. Service elevator padded, corridor floors covered, one controlled route for debris and material.
  4. Demolition. Tub surrounds, floor tile and thinset out with dust-shrouded tools during allowed hours, bagged and carted the same shift.
  5. Waterproofing and setting. New backer where needed, bonded membrane over walls and floor, drains clamped, flood test logged per room; wall tile from a level ledger, floor pitched to the drain, epoxy or high-performance grout throughout.
  6. Punch and release. Each room punched with the owner's representative and released to housekeeping with a signed sheet; attic stock labeled and left with engineering.

Permits and compliance handled. J. Perry & Sons pulls the permit, schedules the inspections, and builds to the city and county codes that apply — Broward and Palm Beach municipal building departments, HVHZ requirements where they apply, and HOA/condo association rules. Hotel and hospitality tile in Boca Raton — FAQ

What does a guest bath retile cost per key in Boca Raton? Floor and tub or shower walls with waterproofing run $4,500–$9,000 per room, labor and setting materials with the tile supplied. Floor only is $900–$1,600.

Can a Boca Raton hotel stay open during a tile renovation? Yes. Floors or wings come out of inventory in blocks, with work hours, elevator use and debris routes agreed with the general manager before the first block starts.

Do oceanfront pool decks need different tile? Yes. Exterior-rated 2 cm porcelain with a wet slip rating, stainless fasteners in any pedestal system and confirmed drainage. Salt spray and standing water ruin anything less.

Does a hotel bathroom renovation need a permit in Boca Raton? When plumbing is touched, yes; the GC pulls it through the city. Finish-only replacement generally does not, though brand design review still applies.

How do I get an exact price? Call (561) 556-7509 or email jperrysonsgc@gmail.com with the key count, finish schedule and typical bath plan. A written estimate is typically ready within 24–48 hours after a site review and scope confirmation.
